13 Weeks...Goodbye first Trimester

Your Baby: Week 13
Baby is forming teeth and vocal cords... savor this, their non-functional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy. (Much more convenient.)

Baby T's first picture

So today January 8th we got to see peanut for the first time. It was the most surreal feeling I have ever felt. Kyle and I could not stop smiling. It was so neat to see the baby moving all around and hearing the pounding heartbeat. I know it made it more real for Kyle, but for me it was so comforting to see everything was okay and just as it should be.

Here are baby T's first pictures:

Lets try this again.....

Took two different tests just to make sure!!
We had such bad news to share the first time around, it is much happier to post this picture!!  The doctor told us we could try again as soon as I felt up to it, and it happened very quickly! I called Kyle on his way home from work on Thursday November 29th and told him, I picked up some pregnancy tests on my way home and I was going to wait on him when he got home to take them! He said just go ahead and take it and call me back. When I walked into the bathroom after a LONG 3 minutes I was so hopeful that it would be positive, but was so skeptical from what had happened the previous month. So when I walked in and it said positive I was elated, yet reserved.  I called Kyle and told him immediately, which he said I knew you would be. We were both excited, but optimistically cautious at the same time. I took another test on Sunday December 2nd with a different test just to be sure. The miscarriage had taken some innocence and excitement away from this moment. I just wanted to shout it out to everyone, yet I didn't want to have to go back and tell everyone yet again bad news. So we kept it to ourselves for several weeks. This was so hard not to tell our close friends and family, as most of them know I have a very hard time keeping secrets, but this was one thing we did and so glad we got to finally tell everyone good news!!
